Somerset Wildlife Trust is seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic individual, with excellent financial, IT and organisational skills to join its small and busy finance team. Reporting to the Head of Finance, the successful candidate will play an integral role in the efficient running of the finance department.
You’ll be responsible for the purchase ledger, sales ledger, payroll, pension administration, balance sheet reconciliations, fixed asset register and assisting with the preparation of the management accounts and year-end accounts. You will be working closely with the Head of Finance to ensure the efficient running of all financial procedures and processes.
The ideal candidate will be part-qualified or newly qualified CIMA, ACA, ACCA or equivalent and have at least three years’ experience of working in a finance role. In addition, we are seeking a candidate with sound knowledge of accounting principles, payroll experience and a high level of competence in Excel.
You’ll need exceptional attention to detail and be able to demonstrate a high level of initiative. Inherent will be the ability to organise, plan and manage your workload to ensure the contribution to the monthly management accounting process is delivered in a timely and accurate manner. As part of a small team, you will be expected to roll up your sleeves and support the overall objectives where needed.
Full-time, 37.5 hours per week - £23691-£25750 per annum.
