Sam Bradley, Alfred Gillet Trust
Sam will talk about some of the challenges that face the heritage and voluntary sectors. Using the Alfred Gillett Trust as a case study, she will discuss innovative solutions to volunteer recruitment and development, and how partnership working can allow small charities to thrive. Sam is Office Manager at the Alfred Gillett Trust, responsible for site management, finance, HR, volunteering and events. She has worked in events, fundraising and the voluntary sector for a number of years.
Benjamin Johns, South West Regional Cyber Crime Unit
Benjamin is a Civilian Officer based in the South West Regional Cyber Crime Unit (SWRCCU). One of his main responsibilities is to raise awareness of cyber-crime amongst local groups and organisations. SWRCCU aims to highlight the importance of cyber security and the impact of cyber-crime, and give advice to help prevent people from falling victim to it. Ben will talk about the different types of cyber-threats and how we can protect our organisation against them, and signpost us to other security resources.
We'll also be joined by Councillor Tim Rice, with an update from Street Parish Council, and the Fit For My Future Team will talk about how we can get involved in their project to shape a more sustainable health and social care service model for somerset.
