Introduction to Coaching Skills
From 12th Mar 2019 to 12th Mar 2019

Put simply, coaching is a people management skill that unlocks a person’s potential to maximise their performance. Coaching helps an individual to learn for themselves – rather than being told what to do.

Join us at this half day workshop, where you will learn more about coaching and how it can help you to get the very best from your staff and volunteers, and you too!

This course is relevant to anybody who manages or supervises staff or volunteers, or aspires to do so in the future.

Topics covered in this session will include:

  • What coaching is and why it is so effective
  • The difference between coaching and mentoring
  • The GROW model and its uses
  • Goal setting and action planning
  • Plus much more!

This session will be delivered by Alison from Alison Baker Coaching and Consultancy (ABCC). Alison set up ABCC in 2013 after a 24 year career in Local Government, latterly as a Senior Manager in Sports and Leisure. She is a qualified and experienced Trainer, Facilitator and Personal Development Coach and has delivered training and various freelance projects within the private, public and voluntary sectors.

Introduction to Coaching Skills is being held on Tuesday 12th March, from 10am to 1pm at Wells and Mendip Museum. Tickets are £30.
