Spark’s Community Partnership Project is a new initiative in South Somerset aimed at working with local communities to improve health and wellbeing.
With increasing cuts in public services and charitable organisations expected to deliver more services with limited funding, there is a need for community organisations to work more collaboratively to support their resident’s health and wellbeing.
Tom Barber, Spark’s Community Partnership Coordinator is currenty working in a number of communities in order to facilitate this collaboration. He's teamed up with voluntary sector organisations, GP practices, housing and other community organisations to roll out the project in the following towns:
- South Petherton
Tom supports this project by hosting workshops that form part of our Spark Training programme. These interactive workshops focus on how to build community based networks that can foster collaborative working and drive action towards better health and wellbeing. Take a look at our Training page to find when the next workshop is taking place. if there isn't one sheduled at the moment but you're interested in taking part please get in touch.
This project is jointly funded by the South West Integrated Personalised Commissioning Programme and the NHS Symphony Programme.
