Our response to an open letter from Somerset Council

Somerset Council Leader responds to 2024 State of the Sector Report.

Last month, we published the 2024 State of the Sector report, which included key recommendations on how the voluntary, community, faith, and social enterprise (VCFSE) and public sectors can work more closely together.

Since its publication, Somerset Council Leader, Bill Revans, has written an open letter acknowledging the report and emphasising the council’s commitment to collaboration with the VCFSE.

His message, which reflects a recent communication to local councils, highlights the importance of strong partnerships to support communities across Somerset.

We’ve teamed up with the Somerset VCFSE Collaborative to issue a joint response on behalf of the sector, in which we welcome the council’s support and outline our shared commitment to working better together.

If you would like to talk to us about the contents of the letters, please feel free to contact our team.

To be part of our ongoing discussions about the 2024 State of the Sector report findings, what they mean to your organisation, and how we might address some of the challenges identified, join our free webinar on Wednesday 22 January 2025.
