Gain the life-saving skills you need to become an emergency First Aider in your workplace or organisation.
Delivered by Emerald First Aid, this regulated qualification provides delegates with skills and knowledge to deal with first aid situations in low-risk workplace environments for the Health and Safety (First-Aid) Regulations 1981 and the Health and Safety (First-Aid) Regulations (NI) 1982 purposes.
The course will cover:
- Understanding the role and responsibilities of a first aider
- How to assess an incident
- How to manage an unresponsive casualty
- How to respond to common first aid scenarios such as choking, internal bleeding, shock and minor injuries
Participants will receive a certificate and achievement card upon completion of the course.
Refreshments such as tea and coffee will be provided, however lunch will not be included.
Tickets to this training are available to small voluntary, community, faith and social enterprise (VCFSE) groups in Somerset.
Important information
Please note this course is not free of charge. Booking will reserve your spot and we will then be in contact to confirm how to pay. Your place will not be confirmed until payment has been received. Places will be charged at £70 per delegate.
As this is a regulated qualification, an employer who obtains training from a Qualified Network UK Approved Training Centre is not required to carry out due diligence on the training provider to ensure the suitability of the training.
All delegates will need to bring photo ID with them on the day and present this to the trainer to ensure compliance.
All delegates must demonstrate the skills they have learnt in order to complete the course and must therefore be able to complete the physical and written components.
Cancellations made less than a week before the event cannot be refunded unless we are able to fill your space.
