Carers Survey
6th Aug 2020

We're conducting a survey to better understand what support is needed for carers in South Somerset.

Our Social Prescribing Coordinator, Sue, is working in South Somerset to support the local groups offering health and wellbeing support, identify gaps in provision, and help develop new groups and activities where needed.

Through this work, we have identified a gap in support for unpaid carers aged between18 and 60 years in the Rural Practice Primary Care Network area. So, in partnership with the Carers Champions at the local GP surgeries, we are conducting a survey to help us better understand what services and activities are needed.

We would love to heard from anybody who is:

  • Caring for a family member who has a disability, long term physical or mental ill health, or struggles with substance misuse
  • Aged between18 and 60 years

  • Registered with any of the GP surgeries in Bruton, Wincanton, Castle Cary, Queen Camel or Milborne Port

You can take part in the survey here. For a paper copy of the survey, please email
The survey closes on Friday 18th September.

The feedback will help us to ensure we deliver a service, group or activity that really meets the needs of local unpaid carers.
