It’s an exciting time to join our growing, friendly team, as we continue our work to support individuals and communities throughout Somerset during the Covid-19 pandemic. We are looking for an experienced self-starter who will roll out a digital inclusion project, improving access to physical, social and mental health services by tackling digital poverty.
You will initially scope out the parameters of the project, mapping provision and services already in place. Over the coming months you will set-up and co-ordinate a help-desk and digital loan scheme, liaising with volunteers and community partners throughout the county. We want to ensure that this project is fully embedded county-wide and remains sustainable beyond the funding term.
You will be working with our team of Voluntary Sector Advisers, utilising their contacts within each of the districts to ensure good reach for the project. You will also be liaising closely with Somerset NHS Foundation Trust, and Barclays Bank Digital Eagles.
You will have sound knowledge of IT, project management experience and a good understanding of the VCSE sector. You will have excellent team working and communication skills, along with a creative, pragmatic and organised approach to your work. In return, you will be offered training and support to further develop your career.
We offer flexibility around where you work. Some work will be in the community - for example attending meetings or events anywhere in Somerset - and this might include evenings or weekends.
This is a full time post on an 18 month fixed term contract, the salary is £28k per annum.
