Coffee & Connect for Fundraisers

Date: Thursday, 13 March

Coffee & Connect is a networking opportunity for Somerset-based fundraisers and anyone responsible for generating income for their community group or organisation.

These monthly sessions, held online and in person, provide an opportunity to share knowledge, discuss challenges and support each other in navigating the complexities of fundraising, particularly in these challenging times.

Our goal is to create a collaborative space where you can build your skills, exchange resources, and strengthen the local fundraising community.

Where are we this month?

We will be meeting at ARK at Egwood for March, but if you can’t make it to Merriott in person then you are welcome to join us virtually.

You can let us know how you would prefer to attend when you place your order. If you select virtually, we’ll send you a Teams link by email.

Whilst together, we will discuss potential venues and locations for future gatherings as we plot to make our way around the county.

We want to hear from you! Let us know what your ‘hot topics’ are when placing your order so that we can discuss them during this and future sessions.

Who is it for?

This session is aimed at anyone who works for or volunteers with a VCFSE group or organisation in Somerset and has responsibility for fundraising.

About the facilitators

Your facilitators for this session will be Louise Treacher and Dr Miranda Millan, Funding and Enterprise Consultants at Spark Somerset.

Louise has worked in the community and sports development sector for over 30 years and now runs her own consultancy business supporting profit for purpose organisations to find and secure funding and to become more financially sustainable.

Miranda has successfully fundraised millions of pounds for third sector organisations. As a Company Director, Governor and Chair of Trustees, she has been designing and delivering training, campaigning, and leading on charity management and governance for more than ten years.

These sessions are offered as part of a project that is being funded by the UK Government through the Shared Prosperity Fund. Free tickets are solely available to VCFSE staff and volunteers from organisations operating in Somerset.
