Are you passionate about supporting young people who are neurodiverse to express themselves and reach their creative potential?
Evolve Music are seeking an Access & Inclusion Worker to work closely with their Project Coordinator and Community Music Practitioners to provide support for the young people with additional learning needs who attend their Sound Lab programme in Yeovil.
The post-holder will be the first point of contact for parents, guardians, and/or carers bringing young people to the sessions. They will work with the Evolve Music team to assess the access and inclusion needs of young people looking to join the Sound Lab provision.
They will also maintain a psychologically safe environment for attendees, facilitating their inclusion in musical activities and dealing positively and supportively with non-participation.
The successful candidate will have experience of supporting young people with additional learning needs. They will have excellent communication skills, and be available to support weekly, term-time Sound Lab sessions on Tuesday evenings.
A qualification in youth work, and experience in project working, planning and service development is desirable but not essential.
