Employability Pathway Officer

Closing date: Friday, 7 March

Somerset Activity & Sports Partnership (SASP) have an exciting role for an Employability Pathway Officer to join their team and support their growing employability work.

A substantial part of the role will be to provide job coach support to SASP’s next cohort (September 2025) of Supported Interns. Working in a trauma informed, young person-centred way, the post-holder will supervise and support them in their employment related activities and promote their independence and success in the workplace.

This role will also build on the established Fit for Work programme and support those who are working ready and would like to access work in the sport and activity sector but find it difficult – the majority of whom have a learning disability.

The successful candidate will have knowledge of learning disabilities and difficulties, and an understanding of the barriers preventing people with learning disabilities and difficulties from finding employment in the physical activity and sport sector.

An understanding of Education, Health and Care Plans as well as Access to Work funding would be an advantage, but not essential.

For more information, or to apply, please visit the SASP website.
