Chard Watch are looking for an experienced IT and Office Administrator with a passion for supporting those with mental health issues.
Chard Watch are a local charity with big ambitions to end isolation for people experiencing mental health difficulties. They provide workshops and courses where people are able to come together and make valuable connections, build self-resilience, and develop skills to support their recovery.
Chard Watch understands that connecting people with shared experiences of mental health challenges can empower everyone, which is why peer support is at the heart of everything they do.
They are looking for an IT and Office Administrator to provide administrative and IT support for the organisation.
The post-holder will be the initial point of contact for visitors to the office, dealing with inquiries directly or transfering to the relevant team member. They will manage and update the Chard Watch website when required, create content for the group’s Facebook page, and monitor incoming comments and messages, responding as appropriate.
The successful candidate will have previous experience in administration, and excellent IT skills across a range of applications and software. They will have excellent phone etiquette, and a friendly and approachable manner, along with strong organisational skills.
An understanding of mental health or working with vulnerable adults and of working in the voluntary sector would be an advantage.
