The organisation are looking for a Peer Advocacy Coach with lived experience of mental ill-health to join their Somerset team.
The post-holder will use their own knowledge and experience to help others who have experienced similar things to self-advocate and speak up for themselves. They will co-deliver and co-design Self-Advocacy Workshops, help to facilitate peer advocacy groups, and work to ensure clients have a greater choice and control over their lives.
The successful candidate will have experience of workshops or training for people who have disabilities or mental ill-health, either designing these types of sessions or facilitating them. They will be a good listener, confident speaking in front of groups, and comfortable sharing their own experiences.
