Frome Community Bike Project are looking for a Workshop Coordinator to oversee the day-to-day running of the workshop, and support the expansion of their Cycle Together programme.

Frome Community Bike Project is a non-profit Community Interest Company that exists to support and encourage people to cycle more for everyday journeys. They do this by selling refurbished bikes, teaching bike maintenance skills and improving cycling confidence through cycle training and group bike rides.

The group are now looking for a Workshop Coordinator to support their colleagues, ensuring that robust and efficient systems and processes are in place to guarantee a continued high standard of service.

The post-holder will review the group’s current systems, making adjustments where necessary to improve efficiency and profitability. They will ensure all volunteers and staff are aware of and following agreed standards, systems and processes, and be the first point of contact for general enquiries from members of the public.

The successful candidate will be passionate about active and sustainable travel, with an interest in green and healthy lifestyle choices. They will have excellent communication and time management skills, as well as sound IT knowledge and awareness of technology to improve efficiency and shared working practices. They will also have experience of volunteer management and recruitment.

Bike mechanic and cycling skills are not essential.
