Warm Welcome returns for winter

Warm welcome is back for 2024 with a new online map, funding and support for Somerset venues.

With the help of community partners, we’re building a network and online map of Warm Welcome spaces for those affected by the cost-of-living crisis.

The map is now live and can be viewed here. Please share it far and wide to help more people find the warmth, company, and support they need this winter!

To add your group or venue to the map, please visit our dedicated web page, where you can register your details and find useful resources to help you set up, run, or fund your Warm Welcome space.

If you hosted a Warm Welcome space last year, you should have heard from our colleague Laura  by email. If you missed the message, or would like to become a host and need some guidance on how to get started, please get in touch

Looking for funding for your space? Somerset Community Foundation’s Help Through Winter Fund is now open, offering grants of up to £20,000 to support community hubs in their efforts this winter. This could include funding for warm spaces, cooking and budgeting classes, community meals, and more! Funding is limited, so visit their website to find out more and apply as soon as possible.

Warm Welcome Somerset is supported by the Household Support Fund ‘Help Through Winter’ programme. This programme is funded by Somerset Council who are working alongside partners across education and the voluntary, community, faith and social enterprise sector to deliver essential support to families and residents.
