Somerset Open Mental Health has been shortlisted as a finalist for the HSJ Value Awards 2021

As a proud member of Somerset Open Mental Health we are delighted to announce that it has been shortlisted for the Public and Prevention Health Service Redesign Initiative award at the HSJ Value Awards 2021.

Open Mental Health is a Somerset alliance of local voluntary organisations and the NHS. We have come together to provide 24/7 support to adults in Somerset, to ensure they get the support they need, when they need it. By working in partnership, we want to ensure that there is 'no wrong door' for anyone who needs help.

The HSJ Value Awards celebrate the teams and the people who are making things better in the NHS. The Public and Prevention Health Service Redesign Initiative award celebrates positive changes to processes and systems which are helping people stay physically and/or mentally well for longer.
To be shortlisted as a finalist for the HSJ Value Awards is a mark of real achievement for all of the organisations involved in Open Mental Health, and the wider mental health and wellbeing support networks across Somerset.

Katherine Nolan, Chair of Open Mental Health and CEO at Spark Somerset commented;

"We're so proud to have been nominated for this national award - it is an honour to have this fantastic work recognised in this way.

“Our colleagues across health and the voluntary sector have been working tirelessly over the past year to develop this new approach to mental health support and this award is a testament to all their hard work and commitment.

"Open Mental Health enables people to access a whole range of support to aid their recovery, from clinical services to housing advice, support groups to debt advice - and much more. By taking this more collaborative approach, it's now much quicker and easier for people in Somerset to get the right support at the right time, which is what it's all about.

"Congratulations to all involved. It's a privilege to be working with such a fantastic team and I'm excited to see Open Mental Health continue to develop and grow."

The winners will be announced at the HSJ Value Awards 2021 awards ceremony at the end of June. Find out more about the HSJ Value awards here.
