We’ve teamed up with Skills for Life Skills Bootcamp and Yeovil College to offer places on our Skills Bootcamp: Leadership & Management course.
Subsidised places are available to employees working in a Somerset voluntary, community, faith or social enterprise (VCFSE) organisation who manage paid staff, as well as volunteers, as a new or existing manager.
This in-person training opportunity is ideal for those who wish to develop or refresh their management skills but are not seeking an accredited qualification.

Module 5: Traits and qualities of a good leader/manager – Thursday 6 February
Module 6: Developing culture – Thursday 13 February
Module 7: Team working – Thursday 27 February
Module 8: Inducting and developing staff – Thursday 6 March
Module 9: Running effective meetings – Thursday 13 March
Module 10: Coaching and mentoring in the workplace – Thursday 20 March
About the trainer
Your lead trainer for this course will be Kerry Northcott, an experienced trainer and coach from KANkei, who has worked in multiple sectors and with people at all levels within organisations. Kerry uses human behaviour and understanding how people ‘work’ as the backdrop to helping others build confidence and competence in their development.
