Healthwatch Somerset is the county's independent health and care champion.
It exists to ensure that people are at the heart of care. Dedicated teams of staff and volunteers listen to what people like about local health services, and what could be improved. These views are then shared with the decision-making organisations, so together a real difference can be made.
They are currently seeking to recruit an individual with previous experience of working with children and young people, to lead their new Young Listeners Project. The role will include recruiting, training and supporting a team of who will in turn engage with other children and young people from across Somerset, offering peer to peer engagement.
Previous experience with working directly with young people, including supporting, delivering and evaluating high quality sessions is essential.
This is a full time role (37.5 hours per week) or part time (at least 25 hours per week) 12 month fixed term contract with a salary of £21,119 per annum. 25 days annual leave plus bank holidays.
