Open Mental Health are looking for a Co-Production Officer to support their Co-Production team in delivering their goals, and to help recruit Experts by Experience.
Open Mental Health (OMH) are an alliance of mental health organisations, who have come together to provide 24/7 support to adults in Somerset, with a shared ambition to ensure that people living with mental health problems get the right support at the right time.
Working together, they support people to live a full life by enabling access to specialist mental health services, housing support, debt and employment advice, volunteering opportunities and more, helping to support and improve their wellbeing and quality of life.
The "golden thread" that runs through everything OMH does is co-production, ensuring that people with lived experience of mental health are involved in their decision-making process. This work is led by the Co-Production team who facilitate and deliver co-production objectives within the alliance.
OMH are looking for a Co-Production Officer to join and support this team, help build meaningful relationships with OMH Experts by Experience, and work with the Co-Production Manager to promote the Expert by Experience opportunity and induct those who are newly recruited.
The successful candidate will be experienced in mental health services, or supporting service users and/or their carers, and be skilled in effectively working with those who may be struggling with their mental health. They will have a passion for ensuring the voices of people with lived experience are heard and have influence, and be able to work in challenging circumstances.
The role is 35 hours per week on a permanent contract. The annual salary is £22,004-£26,053 per annum, pro-rata, depending on experience.
