Somerset Community Foundation has a wide range of funding programmes opening throughout the year, suitable for individuals, community groups, charities and social enterprises.
They have a range of different funding programmes available at any one time, which are always on our website. Some programmes are more general such as The Somerset Fund, and some focus on specific themes such as our recent Growing Grants Funding Programme. They also administer the HPC Community Fund that supports communities impacted by HPC in Somerset, mainly in Sedgemoor and Somerset West and Taunton and have a Social Investment Fund that offers a mix of grant and loan.
Their funding programmes change regularly, and they always have more coming online so it’s worth checking back if you can’t see something immediately applicable to your group.

- They have a newsletter that goes out every two months which is well worth signing up for to keep abreast of what they are doing
- They are always on the end of the phone or an email if you want to talk to us about the best possible fund for your project. Often they find that some people feel worried or apprehensive at talking to them. Don’t be! Their policy is that there is no such thing as a silly question.
