Join our Board of Trustees!
23rd Jul 2024

We’re on a mission to help change lives and build healthy and resilient communities.

We do this by supporting and championing voluntary, community, faith and social enterprise (VCFSE) organisations and providing a range of services, training and advice.

We also believe that everyone should have the opportunity to thrive and so we work with local partners to provide volunteering opportunities for all.

This is all made possible thanks to the support of our exceptional Board of Trustees, and we are currently looking for people who share our vision and passion to join them.

We are keen for our board members come from all walks of life, just like the communities we support, and welcome applications from those involved with the organisations we work with. We would also like to hear from people with a broad range of experience in human resources, legal work and fundraising.

Whilst previous experience of trusteeship is helpful, it’s not essential – if you understand the value of the local VCFSE sector and want to make a positive impact in your community, then we would love to hear from you!

You'll find further information about the position, who we're looking for and what it's like to be a member of our board in the Role Description and Recruitment Pack.

To apply, please send your CV or equivalent biographical information and a supporting statement that sets out why you are interested in joining us and the experience and qualities you can bring to recruitment@sparksomerset.org.uk.

For an informal chat about this opportunity, please contact Kerry on 01458 550973 or via the email address above, who will assist in arranging a call with a member of our board.

We will be holding recruitment rounds in July, November and February 2025. The closing date for applications in this round is 5pm on Monday 12 August.

Interviews are expected to be held between 12th and 24 August. Applicants may be invited to attend the next in–person Spark Board meeting on Tuesday 10 September between 10am and 12pm.
