Learning Lead, The Rendezvous

The Rendezvous are looking for a Learning Lead to manage their successful Yeovil learning programme.

The Rendezvous are a well-established youth organisation working with young people aged 13-25 in South Somerset and North Dorset who may be facing disadvantage. They offer targeted mental health support, one-to-one tutoring sessions, young parents support groups, and special projects that aim to help their clients overcome barriers and go on to lead happy and fulfilling lives.

The charity are looking for a Learning Lead to manage and develop their successful satellite learning programme in Yeovil, and ensure the smooth running of the sessions.

The post-holder will initiate and complete new learner interviews and registration paperwork, respond to enquiries from potential volunteers, and build links and raise awareness of the project within the Yeovil community. They will also liaise with young people, parents case workers and volunteers as appropriate, and provide updates for the team in Sherborne.

The successful candidate will have a high level of literacy and numeracy. They will be positive, self-driven, and committed to making a positive impact on young people's lives. Prior experience of working with young people in a formal or informal learning setting would be an advantage. Safeguarding training and experience would be valuable.

This is a part time role, working 14 hours per week on a fixed-term, one-year contract, with the aim to extend. The rate of pay is £15.26 per hour.
