Targeted Housing Support Workers, Arc

Arc are recruiting two Targeted Housing Support Workers in an exciting new role.

Arc are a local homeless charitable organisation, supporting hundreds of people in Somerset every year. They have been in existence for more than 40 years, and own 16 properties that house up to 168 people. As well as providing accommodation, Arc help their clients on the road to recovery, inspiring and assisting them with 1:1 support as they move forwards through a positive journey to independence.

The charity are looking for two Targeted Housing Support Workers to join their Housing and Client Support team - one to cover the North Somerset area and one to cover Somerset West - who will provide face-to-face client support to those who may be sleeping rough, and develop relationships with outreach services.

The successful candidates will have an understanding of homelessness and related support issues, as well as experience of working with people with multiple vulnerabilities. They will be skilled in one or more areas of high and complex needs, such as drug and alcohol abuse and mental health issues, and be able to communicate effectively with statutory services such as the NHS and local authorities.

The roles are 37.5 hours per week - 32.5 to cover core working hours of 11am-6pm Monday to Friday, 5 to be worked on a flexible basis - on a fixed-term contract until March 2025. The salary is £29,056-£30,203 per annum, depending on skills and experience.
